On Saturday 01-16-2016 at 1:38 AM, Lapeer County 911 received a report of a car fire/explosion on Kings Mill Road near Cedar Creek Road in North Branch (Lapeer County’s Arcadia Township). Arcadia Township Fire Department and Lapeer County Sheriff’s Deputies responded.
After the fire was extinguished, a deceased individual was discovered within a Ford Taurus.The death quickly became a homicide investigation.
The deceased victim is Miguel Harvey age 23 from Port Huron, MI. Harvey was employed second shift at a factory in Imlay City and friends with co-worker Andrew Hall age 21 from North Branch.
On Saturday 01-16-2016 during the afternoon hours, deputies established contact with Andrew Hall at his residence in North Branch (Lapeer County’s Deerfield Township). As the investigation progressed, Hall was taken into custody and lodged in the Lapeer County Jail.
On Sunday 01-17-2016,this case was presented to Lapeer County Prosecutor Tim Turkelson. Prosecutor Turkelson formally criminally charged Andrew Hall with first degree premeditated murder, tampering with evidence, and fourth degree arson.
On Sunday 01-17-2016, Andrew Hall was arraigned by 71-A District Court Magistrate Greg Wise.Andrew Hall’s bond was set at one million dollars and he remains in custody at the Lapeer County Jail.
