Details of Incident:

On Sunday, August 18th, 2013 at approximately 4:30am, officers from the Lapeer City Police Department responded to the McLaren – Lapeer Region Hospital Emergency Department for a reported abduction / robbery that occurred in the City of Lapeer earlier in the morning. The victim, a member of the band “The Calling,” reported being forced into a blue colored minivan style vehicle between 3am and 4am by two male subjects. The incident occurred in the area of West Street near South Main Street. The victim reported being assaulted, robbed, and dropped off on another street within the City of Lapeer. The victim was transported to the local hospital emergency department by another band member, was treated, and released. The incident remains under investigation. The investigation into the reported Abduction and Robbery of Mr. Band is on-going.
Detectives from the Lapeer City Police Department are conducting interviews with potential
witnesses to the events surrounding this incident.

The following is the description of the suspects as reported to the responding officers by Mr. Band.

Suspect #1 – White Male, wearing a camo colored baseball cap – worn backwards. Approximately 30 years of age with a scruffy beard and armed with a firearm.

Suspect #2 – White Male, Tall approximately 6’4” – Very polite and apologetic.

Suspect #3 – Male darker complection -Driver of the van.

Vehicle Description – Blue in color – minivan styled vehicle.
